Stay Creative! is a 12-week program that introduces students to the world of visual art with guidance from professional teaching artists. Young artists will unleash their creativity and explore the principles and elements of art through a variety of engaging mediums, such as drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, and printmaking. Throughout the program, students will develop skills such as creative and imaginative thinking, experimentation, fine motor skills, and visual literacy. This class provides an encouraging, safe environment for your child to lead their own artistic journey.
Stay Creative! is a program of Stay Arts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to broadening arts access for local artists, youth and families through high-quality, community-led programming. Stay Arts operates from Stay Gallery, a community art gallery and creative space based in Downtown Downey that provides art exhibitions, classes, workshops and events.
Materials:All necessary materials included with registration.
Experience Level:All experience levels welcome. Teaching artists tailor their guidance to meet each student’s unique needs and skill set.
